|
|
Green Week was celebrated at Kala Niketan International
School, Gazipur to empower students to be leaders of their
own sustainability campaign. During the week, all the
students and the teachers enthusiastically participated in
tree plantation and presented their views about saving our
environment through declamations, speeches and poster
making competitions. Wide array of events were organized
to share the issues they felt most passionately about. All
the children were instilled with a sense that
sustainability has relevance in our life. It is not a
lofty, unattainable goal that only the most eco-conscious
of us can achieve. The concept of sustainability is
foremost a mind-set, one that requires us to be conscious
of our actions on a level that accounts for both the
environmental and social impacts they have. Through Green
